Racing/Running at High Altitude

How can ALTITUDE affect your running and racing?

The “thin” air can really affect our performance when running. One of the most interesting things to me is that if you race immediately after your arrival, your performance will not suffer as much. Although, if you wait greater than 3 days, your body, most likely, will not perform as optimally.

I felt this first hand last week. My first run was excellent and I felt great! Second and third runs, holy cow, it was hard to breathe and I was tired!

I hope these tips are helpful for you!

Keep living that run life, one mile at a time.

In-person services are closed until further notice, but coaching will continue. Thank you for your understanding.
