This was the 8th meeting of the Huffin Hippos Track Tuesday group of ladies. We are working towards the CASA Superhero Run that is happening in Austin, Texas on September 17th.
The focus of this workout was a race pace tempo and strides after on tired legs. The goal of these workouts is to train the body at its lactate threshold in order to improve the body's efficiency at this level of exertion. As this process occurs, runners get faster and are able to sustain a faster pace for longer.
This was the first evening we worked out and it was lower than 100 degrees all summer. It felt so amazing!
